Hi Steven! Some new moms, or new christians who try to attend with small children tell me that since they feel as if they are not getting anything out of worship services, they will just stay home and try to read the bible on their own, and wait to attend services when their children are older. One sweet girl would come to Bible class and do a one on one study with me while her kiddos were in class, then she would go home and not attend worship because it was all new to her, and she felt overwhelmed (she has since pushed through it and is doing great). So when I said that, it was another example of the mindset of some well meaning people, “I don’t want to bother anyone, I feel embarrassed, I will stay home from worship and avoid conflict till my children are older.”. I hope that answers your question. Thanks!

Middle school age is so much fun! Mainly because they are at point in their life where they question everything. You can do great things in Bible class using this curiosity! Get them into studying Christian evidences and asking those faith building questions. They will thrive off of your excitement and willingness to teach them. Keep it up, and thank you for teaching!
