You Spoke, I Listened

Last month, Start2Finish sponsored the “Books4Life” Mega Give-away. As a part of the contest, we asked folks to weigh in on which book of the Bible they would most like to see us write about (obviously Genesis didn’t receive any nominations! HAHAHA!). Ahem. Anyways… I want to take a moment to respond to those suggestions and give you a window into what is coming up for Start2Finish Books.

The following books were suggested:

  • Nehemiah
  • Job
  • Ecclesiastes
  • Song of Solomon (thanks, Happy)
  • Minor Prophets
  • Luke (others asked for a book on all 4 gospels collectively)
  • Acts
  • Romans
  • 2 Corinthians
  • Hebrews
  • James
  • Letters of John
  • Jude (actually, an 800-pager was requested on Jude)
  • Revelation

Currently, I’m working on a Guide to Daniel called “The Derision of Heaven,” and that will be followed up by “Living & Longing for the Lord: A Guide to 1-2 Thessalonians.” These two books were already in the works before the contest began. I also have material on Romans, Jude, and the Letters of John that may be developed quickly.

As for the others, I’ve created a poll for those books that received several recommendations. Speaking for myself, doing a study of the Minor Prophets, Hebrews, or Revelation really intrigues me. At the moment, Song of Solomon does not (but make a donation to my kid’s college fund, and I might feel differently). I also like the idea of writing about the Gospels collectively, but this would be in addition to publishing volumes on the Gospels individually (their uniqueness deserves to be discussed in just such a manner).

So here’s your chance to let your voice be heard. Of the books that received the most mentions, which one do you most want to see me write about?

**UPDATE: Polling is now closed. Thanks to everyone for their input.**
